I don't know how to tell you this, so I'm just going to come out with it.
I'm in Carlsbad, CA.
Are you shocked?
I am too.
We didn't know we were really coming until we came.
Confused?
I am too.
(But that's normal.)
Needless to say, I have some stories to tell...but no time and no battery life now.
So just know this for now: the fact that we're all here, together, alive, and still sane...
is a certifiable miracle.
More later.
(from California.)

Emily! So glad you are safe in CA:) Cannot wait to hear the whole story. Hope everything is working out well with Doug's "interviews".
All is well in Misawa. Sad you will not be able to meet my sister...
I'm sure it's going to be a great story :) hope you are having fun!
what? How long are you going to be there? Can't wait to hear the rest...
that's quite the cliffhanger Em. Can't wait to hear the rest.
Yes, We Californians want to hear what's up!!
earth to emily. shoot us 7 sentences telling us what's up! don't just leave me hanging here for days!!
Do you have no time to explain because you've got a VG Donut in each hand?
start talking! you are such a tease.
I'M NOT TRYING TO STEAL ANY OF EMILY'S THUNDER, BUT WE ENJOYED A BRIEF BUT VERY NICE AND FUN VISIT WITH DOUG, EMILY AND THE BOYS LAST FRIDAY FOR A FEW HOURS. DOUG HAD A COUPLE OF INTERVIEWS WHILE WE PLAYED WITH THE BOYS, THEN WE ALL HAD DINNER IN PASO ROBLES, BEFORE THEY WENT SOUTH TO MEET UP WITH MORE OF DOUG'S & EMILY'S FAMILY, AND HOPEFULLY MORE INTERVIEWS FOR DOUG, FOR WHEN THEY LEAVE THE SERVICE.
